The hotel was perfectly located for the velodrome stadium. It took approximately 25 minutes to walk there. The staff were very friendly and it was useful to have the option to park, although this was extra. Considering we stayed on a match day the price for our stay wasn't too bad. Overall, the hotel was perfect for our one night stay.

The room was just big enough to walk around in without tripping over luggage. There was also a small desk. Young woman at the front desk was nice. Walkable from train station. You can walk downhill a short way and catch the tram if you’re too tired to walk to the port. I had a partial ocean view from my room.

Founded by the Phocaeans in 600 B.C., the long history of Marseille has produced an interesting and dynamic port-side city bursting with cultural diversity. Watch the fishermen sell their catch by auction at Vieux Harbor or cruise along the Corniche roads with views of the Calanques, dramatic rocky inlets to the sea.
The le Cours Julien and la Plaine areas provide a trendy hangout and every Thursday and Saturday morning, the Plaine market offers its various wares. This is the area to buy a novel from a hip bookshop or watch your kids on one of the playgrounds. There are also plentiful cafes to sip a cappuccino and watch the world go by.
If a culture packed vacation is on the agenda, the Musée d'Archéologie Méditerranéenne, Notre Dame de la Garde and Palais Longchamp won’t disappoint. The unique Unité d'Habitation, designed by famous architect Le Corbusier, contains everything from a shopping street to housing and has spectacular views of the terracotta landscape that makes Marseille so distinctive.

I felt insecured whole the time since on first day upon our arrival we were robbed. The police is clueless. Sure, they will help you draft the report but that's it and good luck claiming insurance on your stolen items. There are pawn shops about every 5 meters selling mobile phones, tablets etc. as if there such demand for electronics in Marseille. We witnessed few robberies during our stay which is quite shocking for the fact we've been only 2 nights in Marseille. We noticed the immigrants (they don't speak French) are approaching to you at a almost touching distance - ALL THE TIME - not missing any opportunity to steal from you, whether it be the zebra crossing, at the harbour, and so on. Later we found out that Marseille is the second most dangerous city in Europe, we can count ourself lucky, to leave that stinky place physically unscathed.
NEVER EVER going back there!!!!!!!!!! Go to Italy or Spain, not saying that there is no pickpocketings but surely feels more safer than Marseille.

We weren't impressed with the city; unfortunately, many places are neglected and dirty, with a significant number of people sleeping on the streets. We felt rather unsafe. The landmarks are impressive; however, the overall surroundings are not as charming.

Marseille is a beautiful city, if a little scruffy and rundown. It is fairly easy to get around although the main station is difficult to access. Most places are walkable but I would recommend using the Tourist train to access the Notre Dame de la Garde.
There are some stunning modern museums but several were partially closed whilst I was there. I would particularly recommend the Cosquer museum with its stunning recreation of the Cosquer cave and its 30,000 year old art. (Tip - buy an advance ticket or turn up early to avoid queuing).
There are plenty of restaurants and bars lining the Old Port, with seafood an obvious mainstay - the bouillabaisse is excellent!

Marseille is a wonderful French city with many sights and history. It is good to visit the main churches, the palace and the museums in it - Notre Dame de la Garde, Marseille Cathedral, Palais Longchamp, . There are many well-preserved architectural monuments, the old town, the natural history museum, the port, etc. Around the harbor there are many restaurants, some of which you can come across wonderful fish delicacies, such as Bouillabaisse and others.
The city cannot boast of enviable cleanliness, as well as the discipline of motor vehicle drivers and pedestrians.

Great city with lots of interesting areas.
Great city with lots of interesting areas. Although it felt 'edgy' with a lot of (often attractive) graffiti etc, it felt safe. People were kind and polite. It certainly did not live up to its dangerous, seedy, rough reputation. It is cultured, artistic and friendly. Great food and a large variety of unique quarters. We will be back.
Location was exactly what we needed. We arrived at Marseille airport in Vitrolles after 11pm. We were able to catch one of the local shuttles to Saint Charles Railway Station --the shuttles run well into the night and are way less expensive than the unlicensed taxis outside the airport terminal. Once we arrived at St.Charles station, it only took us 5 minutes or less to walk to the hotel in spite of the heavy luggage. Location was the main advantage for us, but the facilities and breakfast were good, too, and personnel was helpful.
I had a great stay at Les Appartements du Vieux Port. The studio was very clean and has everything you need. it has a private entrance through the building and is located on the second floor, only one flight of stairs up. It’s conveniently located in walking distance to the marina, many shops and train station. I really felt like home. The staff at the check in desk is also very friendly and helpful. Jeanne and one other gentleman were super nice and welcoming! I would definitely stay there again in my next trip to Marseille.
Upon arrival, the staff was extremely nice and professional. I was really impressed. Since I have to stay in Marseille a week per month, I'll definitely come back. The hotel was clean. It was a little difficult to talk to the cleaning ladies as they didn't speak French but they were nice. Alexandre and Manon have been amazing. The hotel was pretty quiet despite the fact that it's right next to the highway. Also, being diabetic, I needed lots of ice and they gave me plenty of ice cubes which is not very common in France.
The hotel is new and central close to the Vieux Port and the tourist area of Marseille. Nice welcome from the receptionist.
Perfect for a few nights. The room was comfortable and very nicely decorated with a Large bed. A great bathroom with many towels and robes and a spacious shower.
Perfect WIFI - The breakfast is included but we didn't have the time to enjoy it.
Would be back for a night or 2 - not for a long sejour.
Wonderful, spacious, stylish room with kitchen and lots of books! It is hard to describe how much more inviting and comfortable the room is than a normal hotel room. You're staying someplace with charm and character. It's also in a perfect location to explore all that the Vieux Port and Le Panier have to offer. The proprietors also provide a curated list of dining options to help choose where to eat.
The hotel was absolutely perfect for a small family. The triple room was large and there was a curtain to "split" the room so that adults could stay awake for longer than the kid. Breakfast was very good for France! And the staff was really professional and they made us feel welcome during the whole 3-night stay. Also nice that they had activities, colouring kits etc. for kids.
Breakfast was excellent as was location. Short walk to Vieux Port frontage with huge choice of restaurants and boat trips to bay, Chateau D'If etc. Hotel is adjacent major shops and markets and easy walk to the old town (Le Panier), Cathedral Major and Palais Longchamp. More strenuous but relatively easy walk up the Notre Dame de la Garde which is a must see.
I arrived in Marseille by bus and it was one of the closest hotels to the bus station. Also after checkout, I needed a shuttle bus to the airport and those busses leave from that bus station which was very convenient for me. AMP L91 is the bus if you're interested and it costs €10. I also liked the breakfast and that there were elevators.
Location 10/10
Few monutes walk to metro stations ( Notre Dame, and Estrangin ) , Tram T3 Line and buses Lines
10 minutes walk to Vieux Port
Staff were helpful, they accepted my early check-in/ late Check-out request, and changed/upgraded my room after a minor complaint.
Good Quality/Price services , you get what you pay for
Just a couple of blocks from the Vieux Port. Be aware that apartment is on 3rd floor, and the street it's on is a pedestrian walkway with more stairs. Breakfast consisted of coffee, milk, juice, butter, and jam at the apartment, and a baguette that was delivered 2 of the 3 days I stayed (not sure why not every day).
Lovely hotel in a prime location at the Vieux Port. Rooftop pool which was very refreshing after sightseeing! The room was large and comfortable and we had a wonderful view of Vieux Port. Very accessible to all attractions. Loved Marseilles and would definitely return to this hotel.
Hotel in downtown Marseille. Pretty close to Vieux Port, metro and Cours Julien. Nice room with amenities. Microwave. Tea, coffee, fridge. Clean bathroom. Marseille is expensive. This hotel gives you really good quality for the price paid. Staff is helpful and friendly.
For our last night in France visiting Marseille, this hotel was great! Very spacious room, comfy beds and cleam modern bathrrom. We were able to get parking for a fee. Location of walking distance to Velodrome and its surroundings for sightseeing.
Very clean.
The area was not as nice as the property that we rented in the Vieux Port where the owner cancelled within 7 days of arrival, but the hotel was close to a metro station. It was also very clean
The hotel is in an excellent location at the foot of the Canebiere near the Vieux Port and is opposite the tube station. Room pleasant with small balcony and nice view. Very clean, good air conditioning.
The location is great, right at the Vieux Port of Marseille. The apartment has all the facilities you ever need from a home away from home and the host is kind. I would love to come back again
This hotel is a little gem in a great location near the vieux port. It felt very safe, the rooms were clean and staff were friendly and spoke great English. Would highly recommend.
